The Cardiovascular Centre under the E Hospital of Vietnam and the Kanazawa University of Japan will boost their cooperation in training and transferring technology on heart surgery for adults.
Under a agreement signed between the two sides on June 8, the Japanese university will support the centre in training staff and provide them with advanced technology on heart operation for adults such as the coronary artery surgery without using cardiopulmonary bypass technique and the heart operation under assistance of Davinci Surgical Robot.
According to Director of the centre Le Ngoc Thanh, the demand for heart surgery is very high in Vietnam but the country has no any official establishment for professional training in cardiovascular surgery, causing a shortage of staff in the sector./.
